Anyone who ever saw us together at the shows, the park or just hanging out, knew how close we were. From the moment you entered my life, we had that special connection you get from special animals. We could read each others mind, and it was usually the question of which one of us would be "the boss" that day.I never really had the heart to prove to you it was suppose to be me. If we were trotting along and you suddenly stopped, it was alright. If you didn't back at a show, I didn't care. If you didn't win the class, I still shared my Coke with you. You were as gentle as could be and afraid of nothing. You would walk into buildings, cross bridges and rail road tracks, walk the midway of the State Fair, always wanting to know what was around the next corner. It was the "Good Morning Simon" call from the house and the "Good Morning Mom" bray back that always started my day off right. You may not have been that 4-star donkey in the magazines, but you were an 8-star donkey to me because you left me with eight beautiful offspring to remember you by. Your life was too short, Little Buddy. It's not the same without you and I miss you every day. Thanks for the great memories.
